I am not sure what is happening at Slugger O’Toole. A few days ago, I posted a one-sentence comment on a thread about Leo Varadkar. I suggested that in negotiating with the British on BREXIT he was trying to avenge Michael Collins. The comment was deleted but absurdly replies to the comment were not deleted.
I emailed Mick and he said he would “ask” (why). But he has not come back to me again.
I wonder if Slugger (always anti-nationalist) has become simply pro-DUP. Brian Walker seems to be the main man these days. He seems to have a crush on Arlene Foster.
Sad to see it happen. But I am glad that the market leader in Six County blogging retains the catchy title “Slugger O’Toole”….”Slugger O’Walker” just does not work for me.
Glad to see you baack on line FJH – hope to hear more from you in the future!
Thanks Ben. I have a few things to say but I cant see it as a long term thing.
Could have been worse, you could have diss’ed Micheal Martin. I guess there is no fun in blogging against the DUP.
It might now be the official blog of the DUP

Regardless of what is happening at Slugger O’Toole – a poor quality website, things in the real world go on.
Importantly Sinn Féin is appalled by brexit and is putting forward a very coherent set of policies to counter it. Mary Lou is doing a good job as party president.
Well Slugger is pro-establishment and basically now Brian Walker seems to call the shots.
No point in asking me how Mary Lou is doing and then telling me that she is doing a good job.
I am as you know a republican and nationalist and as such I know that Englands difficulty is Irelands opportunity. That’s the reason I voted for BREXIT.
It will be Chaos.
Its Bad for Ireland but it means the end of the “UK”.
I think the brains behind SF see it the same way that I do. Obviously they cant say it out loud….but they believe it just like I do.
Misé fosta! Alas it looks like Terry May is contriving to pull the wool over the Brit public eyes by deceiving them into believing the are leaving the EU when the opposite is occurring.
P.s glad to see you back in the game; I missed your take on things.
Thanks…..this is temporary. I cant get as enthused as I used to be. I am enjoying my weekly day trips with my bus/train pass.
