Olympic Update
At the moment, Ireland’s Olympic team has 53 people. There are actually 54 qualifiers but four qualified in the Womens Marathon and only three can go to London. Maria McCambridge is the unlucky lady. Gladys Ganiel-O’Neill who, at the moment has … Continue reading
Wolf (sic) Tone And Sinn Fein
I have recently made cryptic references to Sinn Féin TALKING about Wolfe Tone but being unable to spell his name. In todays Irish News, Diana Rusk reveals all….well most. Last week in the small village of Derrymacash leaflets were distributed … Continue reading

Break In Normal Service
I will not be online much for a few days. My nephew is in need of a puter (exam purposes) and his own has “died”. Hopefully full service will be resumed by about Thursday.

I Am Not Obsessed With Alliance Party……
I am not obsessed with the Alliance Party……I just hate the bastards. It is not rocket science. They are a bunch of unprincipled parasites. And it is hardly my fault that I am the only living person who knows this. … Continue reading
It’s Civil Rights….Stupid!
Interesting that todays headline in the News Letter (no of course I didnt buy it” has Nigel Dodds MP (DUP for North Belfast) having a rant about the SDLP losing its moral compass and pandering to the “dissident republicans”. For … Continue reading

Journalists…..You Have To Laugh
Sometimes the only response is Laughter. A top man at RTE agonises about his own staff….the “1,800 collateral victims” of the Father Reynolds Libel Case. So let’s get this straight. A man was lied about and described as a paedophile. … Continue reading
Armagh-Down
I was at St Pauls GAA Club in Lurgan tonight. A very good crowd watching Armagh play Down in a match to mark the Official Opening/Blessing of the St Pauls Pitch. The score was (I think) Down 5-8 Armagh 1-10. … Continue reading
Oor Wullie…Still A Victim
Although I knew people who died as a result of the Troubles…old school friends, neighbours, colleagues and attended several funerals, I cannot claim to be a victim. No family member died. I therefore often wonder how I would have reacted … Continue reading
Olympic Update
Another Qualifier. Andrzej Jezierski (and I hope I have spelt that right) has qualified in Canoeing. He is Polish-born and living in Ireland for some years.
Constituency Offices…#8 Michaela Boyle MLA
Difficult to really pin down the Sinn Féin office in Strabane to just one person but I have “allocated” the office to Michaela Boyle MLA because Strabane is her “patch. The first view of the office is from the … Continue reading
