I saw him on TV tonight. Looked a bit like Jim Davidson was about to introduce “The Big Break”.

It would be funny if bloggers and posters started adding tv newsreader after his name, as it would rub it in that he hasn’t made the cut as a politician. He’s a great one for soundbites like gamechanger and a couple of others but his impact on the scene is just about neglible. Perhaps UTV could offer him a way back in there to spare his blushes.
He would have no credibility as a TV newscaster now? Looking back on how he used to grill the likes of lunatic unionists…..or PUP/UDA types or how he used to banter with his colleagues…..it is hard to believe he is the same man.
The transition from journalist to politico is not easy. He has done better than the SDLP’s man Fearghal.
On the contrary both stood for election in Westminster 2010…..both lost.
Nesbitt won a seat in Stormont 2011. McKinney did not stand.
Nesbitt is now Leder of UUP and leading them to obscurity.
He didn’t stand because the SDLP don’t have any winnable seats. Fact.
Er….they had 14.
Care to back that up Factual? I am happy to provide you with a list of winnable SDLP seats backed up by how many votes they need to gain, which election are you referring to?
I think he looks like Willy Frazer in your pic
Actually I did think that earlier in the week.
Although without the charisma and obvious electoral appeal…..:-)
They didn’t have any winnable seats for Fearghal.
SF should be able to win seats off SDLP in: North Belfast, Foyle, South Down, West Belfast, Upper Bann. Next assembly election.
Well Factual….thats five seats….so can I suggest £100 bet at Paddy Power.
You will be a millionaire at the next election.
Of course as a socialist, you won’t actually like being a millionaire.
On the other hand you might be £100 poorer.
SDLP have 14 seats…and we’re runners up in seven constituencies and around 70 votes short in Fermanagh-South Tyrone. By any standards those are”winnable”…..now of course that doesn’t mean any will be won but they are in different ways….targets.
Please raise your game. Try to analyse seriously and not go for the party line.
Robinson and Nesbitt are starting to resemble Edmund Blackadder and his trusty sidekick Baldrick.
They don’t have a cunning plan.
The Sunday World is running a story in today’s issue asking has Mike Nesbitt had a hair transplant?
Certainly sounds like he has been having a mid life crisis for a few years now. I am looking forward to my midlife crisis. Indeed I am looking forward to Puberty 😉
