In an effort to revive my flagging political career, I have decided to defect from SDLP and join the Alliance Party. I will also be announcing my engagement.
Staggering news I know……..but I must refer all questions to the Press Office at Alliance Party HQ. This might be a bad news story for the Alliance Party but of course there is absolutely no danger that you will read about it on Slugger O’Toole.

Indeed.even at this late hour…2 30pm I remain unsure if I can go to the great Slugger Quiz. Now that I have defected to the Alliance Party, it has the great advantage of the Alliance Party (sponsored by Rowntree) so I don’t actually have to pay at the door. There is also the advantage that Slugger-Stratagem will arrange for the Alliance Party to have an extra seat at their table..cos well they are the Alliance Party after all.
I thought if I put this observation on Stratagem-Slugger discussion board, I might get carded by Mick Clattenberg……by the way any chance of a thread on a prominent Gay Rights activist who died last week.
A casual observer might think this is a bigger story than North Down Council/Gay Marriage Story. Of course the North Down area is safe Slugger-Stratagem t erritory but the activist was buried in Dungiven…..but Slugger-Stratagem should be able to find Dungiven on a sat-nav. Of course the activist was a member of SDLP which is clearly not Stratagem-SSluggers kinda person.

Youre right and youre the first Slugger core-member to admit Alliance are incredibly stupid.
But dont go saying that on Slugger-Stratagem….Mick would yellow card you at least.
My plans for tonight look like Im watching “Holby City”. I was not going in any case but was to be represented by a team called “FitzjamesHorse Appreciation Society”. That was the nature of the “wind up” but the team cant make it. Too short notice for them.
Although on the “plus” side, I have saved myself the entry fee for five people. It would have been an expensive”wind up” but Ive nothing better to do.
By the way am I still in the running for Slugger-Stratagems prestigious Blogger of the Year Award?
