I suppose it is inevitable that the dreams we dream reflect in some way our everyday concerns….family, Manchester United, work etc. Now that I am retired I rarely dream about work. Now that I have developed an interest in politics, I find myself dreaming about politics which is a waste of good sleep time.
Last night, I dreamt I was invited to attend a meeting but the person who invited me to the meeting did not show up……..and all of the folks who knew I was going were not there either. As the meeting room started to fill up most of the attendees were giving me strange “who is he?” looks and on one occasion when I left the room someone took my chair. The alarm clock went off before the conclusion of the dream.
Of course strange things happen in dreams. A few weeks ago Cliff Michelmore interviewed me. Yes I really am stuck in the 1960s. And more recently, I attended the SDLP Conference in a hotel near Warrenpoint……it was chaired by BBC Newsreader Kenneth Kendall who is now in his 80s.
